When assigned to the case of the “Pine Falls Knife Man,” Alex crosses paths with Juliette, tasked with listening to her firsthand account of the attack. After learning of her involvement with the case, Alex—used to the dangers of the vampire world—reluctantly agrees to Juliette’s help.

As the bodies add up and the stakes get higher, this unlikely duo must work together to stop the killer terrorizing their city—combatting not only the dangerous and secret world of vampires, but their growing attraction and feelings for each other as well. While both Alex and Juliette bear physical scars, they must learn to overcome their emotional ones and face the past in order to survive the present.
